DIRECTIONS FOR ORIGINAL AND PLUS FORMULAS
Step 1: Wash hair gently with BKT Clarifying Shampoo. Shampoo 5 times for virgin gray or resistant hair. Shampoo 4 times for color treated hair. Shampoo 3 times for highlighted hair. Leave product on hair for 30 seconds between shampooing. (Focus on washing the hair not the scalp).
Step 2: Blow dry hair 100% using medium heat with your hands.
Step 3: When using the original formula, section hair into desired sections (Be sure to wear gloves). Pour desired amount of BKT into a bowl and apply each section with a brush. Comb to blend each section for even distribution. When using the PLUS FORMULA, section hair into desired selections, shake bottle and spray each section sparingly and comb to blend for even distribution. The PLUS FORMULA may also be applied using the brush method. We do not recommend a spray application for the ORIGINAL FORMULA.
Step 4: Let sit for 15 minutes for normal hair and up to 20 minutes for resistant hair, with a plastic cap. After the appropriate time has elapsed, using a large rake comb, blow-dry hair 100%.
Step 5: Re-section the hair and beginning at the nape of the neck using 1/8 sections begin flat iron- ing the hair from the base to the ends using a flat iron with the temperature set between 400 degrees and 450 degrees. For normal hair set temperature to 450 degrees and for fine hair use temperatures set at 430 degrees. For over processed hair, set as low as 400 degrees. Be sure to seal the Keratin into the hair by repeating the smoothing process with the flat iron more than one time per strand. For virgin hair, apply the flat iron 5-7 times per section. For color treated hair, apply the flat iron 5 times per section. For highlighted hair, apply the flat iron 3-5 times per section. Work your way through each section of the hair. Look for shine, slip and static.
Step 4 & 5 Must be performed in a ventilated area.
Step 6: When using our ORIGINAL FORMULA, be sure to inform the client not to wet hair for 72 hours to allow the hair to be transformed into the desired smooth straight results. When using our PLUS FORMULA, clients may wet the hair as early as 24 hours. When using either formula, clients may leave the hair without wetting it for longer than suggested time frame.
Step 7: Be sure the client maintains the hair with the BKT Keratin Balancing Products. Hair should be shampooed with the BKT Keratin Balancing Shampoo, conditioned with the BKT Keratin Balancing Conditioner and brushed / styled with the BKT Ker-Argan Oil.
HELPFUL HINT: For stronger texture, try alternating both formulas. Use the “Plus” on a re-growth zone and the original on the ends.
WARNING: This product is strictly for professional use only. Should this product accidentally come in contact with eyes, immediately wash out with lukewarm water for 15 minutes. This product must be avoided by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding. This applies to both salon professional and client alike. Keep out of the reach of children. This product along with Permanent waves, hair color, and highlighters should be used in a well-ventilated area.
